“So What’s Your Book ABOUT?”…and Other Tough Questions
“So what would you say your book is ABOUT?” Oh, how I once hated that question. I mean, I could do a plot summary, but the idea of me as the author telling you the book had a specific MESSAGE? Hated it. But I’ve changed my mind on the question over the years—here’s a video sharing my thoughts, past and present.
By the way, over the next couple of weeks, I’m going to revisit some of the questions about writing that I’ve gotten most often over the years. Feel free to offer your own take in the comments! P.S. You’re going to be able to tell we’re getting a new roof put on the house. The roofers are having a great time, and they make for an exciting backdrop for literary discussion.😊

Gin,
Thank you for the sound advice. I absolutely agree with you. I am new to your website but will return to explore more of your thoughts. I enjoyed the video, concise and witty. I hope you do more, you have a great screen presence. Thanks again.
