I am now trying to get back into some sort of regular blogging. Clearly, it hasn’t been happening. Neither has the journaling I’ve been meaning to do on the first few weeks and months of post-baby life. I’m not comfortable writing much about the baby or posting photos–I write novels, not memoirs, and I’m convinced…

Our baby boy was born on July 20th….20 inches, 10 pounds and 6 ounces. We’re both doing great…tired, but great.

So a couple of  major days to announce: First of all, by tomorrow afternoon, this baby will be getting his first glimpse of the outside world. He’s so big already (9 lbs 9 ounces) that the doctors don’t want to let him keep growing endlessly–he could be the size of a toddler if he goes…

I feel like I should mention why I haven’t been writing very much here in the last few weeks…and why that trend will probably continue for the next two or three months.  I’m 38 weeks pregnant.  Mostly my energy is spent trying to stay awake during the daylight hours…and manuevering from the sitting to standing…

I don’t think I’ve mentioned that the title of my New Mexico novel has been changed from Ghosts Underground to Come in and Cover Me. (I’ve given up hope that any title I come up with for a book will actually be used. It gets changed every time. And I’m okay with that–I’m more concerned…
